Child Welfare League of America Conference
August 12, 2002

"Our most important task as parents is raising children who will be decent, responsible, and caring people devoted to making this world a more compassionate place." —Neil Kurshan

CWLA will hold it Biennial Leadership Summit this year in San Diego, California on October 9 - 11, 2002. The conference, entitled "Leadership, Community, and Social Change: Putting Kids First", is based on the assumption that "the need for a focused, collective, and entrepreneurial approach to protecting and supporting your community's children has never been more important, or more complicated." Summit topics will include: negotiation strategies and tools, community building, workforce strategies, public policy from a community perspective, and maximizing financing. For more information about the Summit, go to www.cwla.org/conferences.
