I read in the paper about a man in Clarksville, Tennessee, who said that investors had put a million dollars into his recently patented invention - a toilet training seat. The seat was decorated with the face of an animal and "implanted with an electric microchip that allows parents to record words of encouragement for their child." When there is success, "the potty plays such tunes as 'Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head' and the 'Hallelujah' chorus" and "the animal's lighted eyes flash and the wooden ears wag when the mission has been accomplished."All that is missing is a handbook with the words children use when they go about their business - words like potty, tinkle, grunt, whiz, leak, poop, pee, weewee, peepee, plop, doodoo, stink, trickle, BM, wet, number 1, number 2 for starters. It would save teachers having to look through application forms and save children having to explain.
