It had been a day of "too manys" - too many knotty problems, too many phone calls, too many nonsensical requests, too many unfinished undertakings, and too many demands on my time. I was frustrated, tired, and annoyed.I picked up my mail and there, nestled in the usual bills and pleas for contributions, was a card from Jamie, a three almost four year old very special little girl. The card said:
My spirits immediately rose from low to high. Isn't it wonderful how a message such as this can erase the trials and tribulations of the day and make you feel like a human being once again? And isn't it wonderful that the people in Jamie's life, through their modeling, have helped her lay a foundation that makes it possible for her to express herself so openly?
In adult terms, four hours may seem a limited amount of time, but to Jamie, it is so evocative and right on in conveying what to her is a message of importance. What better place for it to be than on my refrigerator door?
