Pam was starting up a new preschool in her church basement. She was excited, organized, tired �" gathering curriculum, getting supplies, securing permits, considering security issues, meeting parents. Parents were filled with great ideas for the playground, materials, hygiene. So many ideas and such a tight budget! One enthusiastic mom suggested, “Hey, we need a play structure. I think there are grants available for outdoor play equipment through the state.” The look on Pam’s face said, “I’m tired. I have plenty of ideas and plenty to do with what is already onmy plate!” She was exhausted by the idea of it.
Your project is worthy, but you are getting weary
Many projects grow out of passion and minimal outside funding. One’s own personal enthusiasm, together with non-monetary encouragement of others, can fuel a project for a while. On-going development of a project and long-term sustainability however, often depend upon partnering with people and funding resources.
