SUMMER WORKSHOP ON FROEBEL

The Froebel Foundation is offering a summer workshop of demonstrations and instruction in the Froebel kindergarten methods. Several teachers from the Toronto Froebel school in Mississauga will be in Grand Rapids, Michigan for a few days this summer. Their visit will coincide with visits from sculptor/paperfolder Bradford Hansen-Smith and geometry guru Michael Schneider. These guests will be presenting several day-long workshops on topics relating to Froebel's philosophy and method. In addition to the Froebel workshops, other interesting activities will be provided. The Grand Rapids Art Museum is currently exhibiting a collection of Froebel materials and offers a hands-on activity area for children. Attendees will also have a chance to visit the archives of the Froebel Foundation USA and review plans for the new Froebel School in Grand Rapids. If you want more information on this workshop, visit the Froebel Foundation website, www.froebelfoundation.org.
