There he was, all blond curls and big blue eyes, clinging to his mother's leg, while we finalized the details for Beth's new job. Forrest held on for dear life as he checked out these new surroundings and unfamiliar people. I wasn't worried, I was confident that I would be able to connect with him and that the best thing for me to do was to give him a little space and some time, checking in with him now and then to let him know that I was interested and quite aware of his presence.
